Lately, I stumbled upon an interesting post about a Hollywood celebrity who is in love with detoxing diet, or Detox diet in short. She is not the first, however, one of the many who recently joined in the worldwide "Detox diet wave"
So what exactly is this Detox diet plan?
A detox diet plan basically involves the removal of any excess harmful toxins that are stored in human body. This is done through consuming and/or drinking organic products, which in turn clears these unwanted substances as waste materials from our bowels.
The good part of it.
Those who faithfully follow Detox diets frequently claimed to receive results such as weight loss, a good enhancement of appearance, improvement on our organs' capabilities and rejuvenation of our mental health.
Unhealthy part of it.
There aren't many disadvantages to Detox diets. It is rather evident the pros far overweigh the cons. However, you should note that such diet programs do not provide all of the nutrients that our entire body requires. Therefore, the actual longer the body continue a Detox cleaning diet, the longer it will be without some nutrients it need. For that reason, Detox diet plan should not be practiced on a long-term basis.
What in the event you eat?
Fruits, vegetables, juices (with no sugars), beans and lentils, oats, potatoes, brown rice, steamed fish, unsalted seed products and nuts, natural yoghurt, herbs, herbal teas.
What should you NOT consume?
Red meat, chicken, dairy products, eggs, butter and margarine, wheat products, breads, pastries, chips, chocolates, fairly sweet, sugar, processed meals, take-away, alcohol, coffee and tea, sauces, soft drinks.

DETOX BREAKFAST
[Breakfast fresh fruit smoothie - Pear, Lemon, Kiwi, Apple, Plum]
Add them and mix them! You may want to add more glaciers if you find the taste too sour
A word of caution: If you have the weak stomach, it is best to replace a few of this kind of citrus fruits for example orange with pears or strawberries.
DETOX LUNCH
[Green Gaia - Steamed broccoli with sesame seeds + Lemon juice on dark brown rice]
Add sesame seeds along with broccoli and steam it until it is cooked. It is best to remove the seeds, squeeze the lemon by hand and include them to the brown rice.
DETOX Treat
[The Popeye Solution - Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Garlic, Onion, Carrots, Celery, Water, Bay Leaves, Spinach]
Heat the olive oil first, then add in Garlic, Onion, Water, Bay simply leaves and leave it to boil for an hr. Thereafter, add the spinach and boil it till this wilts.
DETOX DINNER
[Messy Healthy - Salad along with mixed greens, red-colored peppers, artichokes and seedlings drizzled with salad dressing of garlic, lemon juice and olive oil]
Just mix and stir them! You may want to eat multivitamin supplements to improve the detoxification impact.
